On May 25th, 2023 at the European No-Dig Conference in Italy, Hans Blok accepted the Milco Anese Award. His paper “Intersects for HDD” won this award in the category “Laying pipes by horizontal directional drilling”.
The Milco Anese Award recognized papers in seven categories. The organization assigns the award to papers focused on innovation and development that pushes the boundaries of trenchless technology.
In the paper “Intersects for HDD”, Hans Blok discusses the growing need for intersect drillings, the challenges that come with this, and how accurate guidance systems are the key to successful intersects.
