Successful lake crossing in Canada

A big Canadian oil player commissioned a new oil and gas pipeline to be installed under a lake. Due to the many lakes in Canada, the installation of new oil & gas transport infrastructure is not straight forward. Brownline’s steering service is making the installation of new pipelines a lot easier.

Recently we have helped install a new oil & gas pipeline in Tilley, Alberta in Canada. Conventional techniques however, are ill-suited to install an underground pipeline under a lake.

Our Gyro steering tool (GST) is an independent steering tool not in need of beacons or magnetic fields. Application of this tool aided in swiftly delivering two straight bore holes under Scots lake of 2296 ft each and at 164 ft dept
