Drilling for electricity in a Zeeland harbor area

In June 2022, Brownline surveyed a drilling in the Dutch province of Zeeland. In the Vlissingen-Oost harbor area, Van Vulpen drilled a 347 m / 1138 ft bore, commissioned by DNWG Infra.

The goal of this bore was to install electrical cables in the harbor area. Using a horizontal directional drilling at this location, there is no need to dig trenches across the entire site and therefore, there is hardly any inconvenience to the surroundings.

Drilling was carried out in a south-westerly direction and the exit point was located in a shipyard. With a view of the millionaire’s yachts, the Drillguide Gyro Steering Tool steered the bore effortlessly towards the exit point. Even in a harbor area, our steering tool does not suffer from interference from the surrounding infrastructure. Unhindered, the bore could follow the planned design.

With this project, Brownline once again demonstrates the ease and reliability of the Drillguide Gyro Steering Tool.
